October is a huge month of media industry events where we’ll be OUT front and center! There’s Advertising Week New York happening at The Penn District October 7-10, the DPAA Global Summit on October 15, the 4A’s/OAAA Medium of the Moment Event on October 17, and the MvVO Ad Art Show VIP Reception right here at OUTFRONT HQ later that night.
Here’s what we have planned for advertising’s busiest month.
From Billboard to Cart: Fashion Brands Leverage Social OOH to Drive Engagement
At Advertising Week New York, OUTFRONT will present a session titled “From Billboard to Cart: Fashion Brands Leverage Social OOH to Drive Engagement,” with speakers Clive Punter, EVP and Chief Revenue Officer at OUTFRONT; Ashley Schapiro, Vice President Marketing, Media, Performance, & Engagement at American Eagle, and Max Siegelman, Founder of Siegelman Stable.
In this session, we’ll explore how brands are using out of home advertising to drive social engagement, everything from 3D billboards (aka dimensional OOH), QR codes, and innovative static displays. Real-world examples in the form of American Eagle’s back-to-school campaigns and Siegelman Stable’s partnerships will demonstrate how the power of social out of home (#sOOH) is transforming brand storytelling and expanding brand reach.

The Power of the Maiden Name in Business and Beyond: To Change or Not to Change?
Also, at AWNY, Valerie Vespa, OUTFRONT VP, Brand Partnerships, will speak on a panel entitled “The Power of the Maiden Name in Business and Beyond: To Change or Not to Change?” The panel, presented by The Female Quotient in partnership with The Knot and SmithGeiger, is part of the Equality Lounge @ Advertising Week, scheduled for Monday, October 7.
This session asks the question: with women getting married later and developing thriving careers - and starting their personal brands earlier - what’s the value in keeping your surname, or in taking on your partner’s name? Is there a right choice? And will AI have an additional impact on the power of your last name long-term in business?
Valerie will be joined on the panel by Kiara Kempski, Vice President, Global Consumer & Vendor Marketing, The Knot Worldwide; Audra Levi Priluck, SVP, Business Development, SmithGeiger Group; and Caroline Dettman, Chief Creative and Marketing Officer, The Female Quotient.

OUTFRONT at DPAA: Sharing Knowledge, Serving Coffee, Saving Food
Hear directly from one of OUTFRONT’s success stories as Kelley Martin, Senior Vice President Global Marketing + Creative at Amika, the #1 hair brand at sephora.com, speaks at the DPAA Summit on Tuesday, October 15 at 12:30pm. The 360-degree New York-based campaign included digital plus OOH, in-store sampling, as well as consumer pop-up events. amika saw big success measured through increased brand search, social amplification, and sales within NYC Sephora locations.

4A’s & OAAA Present: Medium of the Moment
Clive Punter will also be speaking at the Medium of the Moment Event, presented by the 4A’s and OAAA on Thursday, October 17.
This event will explore the important strategic role OOH plays in today’s cross-platform, multi-channel media landscape. Industry leaders will examine creativity as a key performance indicator, sharing insights through panel discussions on innovative strategies for the industry’s most impactful OOH campaigns.

MvVO Ad Art Show VIP Reception
Now in its seventh year, the Ad Art Show recognizes the vast contribution to fine art from those who got their start in advertising. As lead partner, OUTFRONT displayed last year’s top ten artists on billboards across the nation and the top three in Times Square. (Check out their work here.)
We will unveil this year’s art – including the grand prize specialty Clio winner – at the Ad Art Show VIP Reception at OUTFRONT HQ. The reception happens on Thursday, October 17 at 5:30pm and tickets are available now.
