Creative Sweep: 6 For 6
November 30, 2023
The OUTFRONT Connecticut STUDIOS team submitted six campaigns to the annual Ad Club CT awards and all six submissions won awards. A perfect sweep, 6 for 6!
The Advertising Club of Connecticut (AD CLUB CT) is a non-profit organization that promotes the highest standards of excellence in advertising and marketing throughout the state. With over 2,000 members, AD CLUB CT is the largest professional association in Connecticut serving the needs of growing businesses by allowing those who share a passion and a connection to advertising to enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded individuals.
A huge congratulations is in order to our Senior Creative Director Lisa Silva (4 awards) and Kevin Post (2 awards) who are responsible for creating these amazing creatives.
The 2023 holiday season reveals a significant shift in consumer behavior - discounts have morphed from a mere cherry on top to the driving force behind their holiday shopping. An astonishing 89% of Americans now crown price as the unrivaled factor influencing their buying decisions². In a world of rising costs and dwindling savings, consumers are putting discounts on a pedestal.
“I’m proud of the work that we do with Pepe’s because it shows their trust in us as leaders in the OOH industry and their trust in us as designers. It’s lead to a great consultative partnership.” Lisa said of her work with the world-famous Frank Pepe’s Pizzeria.
Another win that hits close to home for the Connecticut team is the creative she designed to honor the Bristol Police Department in the wake of a tragic event that resulted in the loss of Officer DeMonte and Officer Hamzy while responding to a call local call earlier this year.
Lisa’s ability to design a creative under the pressure of 24-hour turnaround time is what allowed OUTFRONT to provide a timely message of support on a prominent digital Unit in our market and help recognize those who serve our community by putting their lives at risk every day.
“I think the simplicity of the creative was the best way to acknowledge the passing of the police officers, it shows respect, but also provides solace and calming to anyone passing by that was affected by the events that happened.” - Lisa Silva
Kevin Post, who has recently received a well-deserved promotion to Graphic designer, shared his satisfaction over the award received for his Carter Mario Superhero creative, stating “Working on [the design] with Lisa and Tim, from the initial idea to the final iteration, was incredibly rewarding. I’m extremely proud of how it turned out.”
When asked about their goals for the upcoming 2024 year, Lisa told me that she wants to continue to create impactful and successful campaigns for our clients. I think we can all agree with her when she expressed “Our success is tied to the success of those that we work with, great creative, leads to great results.”
In contrast, Kevin is excited to take on more challenging assignments that will help him hone his craft while learning how to utilize new Artificial Intelligence tools that have the power to optimize his workflow in a substantial way.
OUTFRONT CT is incredibly thankful to have two award-winning designers on our team who help to keep our winning streak alive and well.
